Surface sediment samples (granulometry)
Under the guidance of Dr. Kostantinou Dounas, samples of the surface sediment were taken from the seafloor in the main study area (Meandre), from the depths of -2 meters, -4 meters, -6 meters, -8 meters and -10 meters. The samples were transported to the laboratories of H.C.M.R in Heraklion, Crete. Each container lid displays the depth of where each sample was taken, e.g. 10, meaning it was taken from -10 meters deep.
